Meditation of February 7th :
The crown of thorns was even more cruel in the Heart of the Lord than on his sacred Head. Also, whilst showing his Divine Heart to his chosen soul in Paray-le-Monial, he had wanted us to see him crowned with thorns. Ah ! It is because this crown was for him the torture that men in their mad and brutal pride made him suffer ; in their deadly thoughts, in the pride of their vain glory, in the stubbornness of their rebellion. (Martha Robin).
Meditation of February 14th :
Come on, let us go ahead of our good Master… He comes to us full of goodness, full of love and of the most passionate of all loves. Let us not go to him with coldness and indifference, let us try and generate in us this hunger, these violent desires which made the saintly souls languish. He comes to us full of grace and treasures in order to enrich us ; let us not go to him empty handed… But especially let there be no moment, if possible, that is not sanctified by some interior act of contrition for our sins, of compassion for the sufferings of Jesus Christ, of protest to serve him better from now on…(St Claude la Colombière).
Meditation of February 21st :
When the right time has come for God to save humanity from slavery of sin, Jesus withdraws here, in Gethsemane, at the foot of the Mount of Olives. We find ourselves in this holy place, sanctified by Jesus’ prayer, by his anguish, by the sweat of his blood : sanctified above all by his « yes » to the Father’s willingness to love. We are almost afraid to go near any feelings that Jesus felt at this hour. ; we enter on tiptoe in this interior realm where the world’s drama was being decided. At this hour, Jesus felt the necessity to pray and to have near him his disciples, his friends, who had followed him and who had shared his mission more closely. But here, in Gethsemane, following him is proving to be a difficult and uncertain task : doubt, tiredness and terror seem to take over. (Pope Francis).
Meditation of February 28th :
« And now we set out wholeheartedly to follow you, to fear you and to look for your face. Do not let us dwell in shame, but act with us according to your goodness and according to the greatness of your grace. Deliver us according to your marvelous works, and may glory be given, Lord to your name. May all those who hurt your servants be confused : may they be covered with shame, deprived of all power, and may their strength be broken. May they know that you alone are God and Lord, in glory all over the earth. » (Daniel 3)

Jesus, you only ask us to remain close to you in confidence, but we cannot get there alone. Help us not to enter into temptation, you who always trust in the Father, so that we may follow in your footsteps.
