My Lord and my God

« A week later the disciples were together again indoors and Thomas was with them. The doors were locked but Jesus came and stood among them and said « Peace be with you ». Then he said to Thomas « Put your finger here, and look at my hands, then stretch out your hand and put it in my side. Stop your doubting and believe ». Thomas answered him « My Lord and my God ». Jesus said to him « You believe because you see me. How happy are those who believe without seeing me ». (John 20)

Making contact with the open Heart of Jesus plunges us into the depth of his Heart, Tabernacle of his divine and human love. « To touch the pierced Heart of the Redeemer fills us with the Adoration and the Praise, which flowed from the lips of Thomas : « My Lord and my God! » How can we touch It ? Through faithful reading of the Gospel, by holy communion, by adoration in front of the Blessed Sacrament, by meeting his undeniable Mercy in the sacrament of Reconciliation, by our charity and compassion towards our fellow sufferers…

Prayer :

Heart, immaculate sanctuary… through charity You wanted to be marked, so that we would worship the wounds of a Love that we couldn’t see.
