“The Lord Almighty says “the day is coming when all proud and evil people will burn like straw. On that day, they will burn up and there will be nothing left on them, but for you who obey me, my saving power will rise on you like the sun and bring healing like the sun’s rays. You will be as free and happy as calves let out of a stall.” (Malachi 4).
Margaret Mary saw the Heart of Jesus like a “furnace burning with charity”. This fire which can burn those who resist and rebel against God, becomes a benevolent flame and source of “healing in its rays” for those who welcome it. One can think of adoration before the holy sacrement which is compared to a time of “exposition” to the Sun of justice, which is Christ. It is striking that the Virgin Mary appearing to Margaret Mary in the great vision of July 2nd 1688 talks of the Heart of Her Divine Son as being “the Sun of justice”, referring to this passage of the prophet.

Heart of Jesus, burning furnace of charity, have mercy on us.
