Saint John, the Disciple Jesus loved (on the left, at the top).
According to tradition, he died a very elderly man (some say he lived to be 105) in Ephesus where you can still come and venerate his tomb. The Author of the Gospel and three Letters bearing his name, and presumed author of the Apocalypse. His feast day is on December 27th.
He is the first confident, the first disciple of Jesus, the one who rested on Jesus’s chest during the Last Supper (John 13:23), and who witnessed His Side pierced by the spear (John 19:34-35). It is during his feast day, that is on December 27th, that the Lord Jesus revealed His Most Sacred Heart to Margaret Mary, during the first of the three great Apparitions, when she heard these words : “My Divine Heart is so full of love for you…”.
